Re-Casting

Originally we had cast a set of 2 year olds and we were going to interview their parents but I have tried many times to get in contact with them and I haven't heard anything back and so we have had to re-cast. I had a message on Facebook from a girl who was interested in taking part. I got in touch with her and her and her identical twin sister were more than happy to step in. They are 16 year olds and they are from Essex. I will set up a Skype interview with them so I can ask them my questions and get to know their personalities.

Our Expert

As part of our documentary we want to have psychological input to really get into the mind of twins and find out if there is any studies to show whether or not they can really feel each others pains and things like that. Me and Maddie both did Psychology at A-Level and we have been in contact with our psychology teacher to see if he knew of any studies which would help us and to also ask if he would be in our programme as our expert. He's just got back to me with a good article and to say that he would be more than happy to help us out and be in our film. We are so excited about this it feels like everything is starting to fall into place all we need to do know is find a 3rd set of twins.

Casting a Voice Over

Me and Maddie have had an audition on Star Now for quite some time now trying to find a good voice over for our documentary. We have had quite a bit of interest.

We have been keeping in contact with all of the applicants and we sent them all a rough script with a brief of how we wanted it to sound.

We have had a few applicants send back their auditions and so far they all sound really good and it is exciting to hear them read out our script. So far none of them fit perfectly but we are going to chase the rest of them up and hopefully find the perfect match.

Today we had a Skype interview with a set of 42 year old twins from Chelmsford who we found on Star Now. We really really liked them, they were good talkers they had a really good relationship with each other and they just seemed perfect for our documentary. Skype Interview

We have just set up our first Skype interview for our Identical; Susan Fordham and her twin. We contacted these twins through our star now account and they seem really happy to be involved. This Skype interview is just to get to know them  a bit more and ask some questions that we could use in our documentary. They are 42 years old and live in Chelmsford. So logistically it is a viable and easy enough place for us to get to if we were to cast them as one of the sets of twins.

This interview will take place after our lecture tomorrow at 5pm.

Woooooooo Whoooooooo !!!!

Today we received an email from The Mac Twins management saying that the girls are really interested in our project. All we need to do know is set up a meeting so that we can talk the girls through the project more and also talk locations and then we are ready for scripting and setting a date for filming.

This news has really given us the lift we needed, we were beginning to panic about the lack of good characters. We are so excited about this project now!

Star Now Update

We have searched through all of the twins on Star Now and have emailed most of them. We have got alot of interested and now we just have to start auditioning them. We have started to ask if people would be interested in doing a Youtube video as an audition just so that we can get to know their personalities and relationship better and get an idea of how they would answer the questions in the actual doc.

We have also had alot of interest for the voiceover role. We are going to make a rough voice over script for auditions and asked the applicants to make a demo of that so that we can see if they sound right for the part as voiceover in our doc.

I'm really excited about this project now, it feels like its starting to come together :-)

I have emailed the Mac twins Manager (info@thehubentertainment.com) to ask if this would be a project the girls would be interested in. I have also emailed the Frenchy twins to see if they would be interested (thefrenchytwins@yahoo.com). And so all I need to do know is wait for a response.

I have been on twitter tonight and I have tweeted Finn and Jack, the boys from the Twin Youtube video, asking if they would like to take part in the documentary. I have also asked the Essex twins Chealsey and Paige if they would also be interested.

Hi Girls.

I'm a Broadcast Media student at UCA in Maidstone and for one of my units next semester me and my friend Maddie want to make a series of 5 minute Youtube documentaries about identical twins. Each episode will include a light hearted interview about what life is like being a twin such as have you ever switched places, do you really get on, were you brought up to be individuals or made to dress the same and be one. There will also be a fun simple challenge for you both to compete in nothing to hard just something like a game of snap or the cinnamon challenge. We would also need to get sequences of you together maybe at work or just at home or out shopping or something.

We wouldn't be able to pay you but we would be able to offer you a show reel.

Today me and Maddie created a job listing on Star Now to look for twins to be contributors in our documentary and also for someone to do the voice over. We are hoping that there will be a few people who are interested and so then we have a bunch of people that we can set up meetings with so that we can decided who are the best people to use in are documentary are.

Message to Georgio

Georgio and Dino Georgiades are twins who appeared in a couple of episodes of ITV2's "The Only Way Is Essex". I have added them both on facebook and this is the message I sent to both of them. I am still waiting for a reply.

Hi.

My names Hennie and I'm at university studying broadcast media in Maidstone, Kent and when I go back in September I have to complete a major project. Me and my friend Maddie have teamed and want to make a documentary about twins and we were just wondering if you and your brother would be interested in taking part. We want to have 5 x 3minute episodes and each episode will focus on a different set of twins. We would ask you different questions about being a twin like have you ever switched places, do you hate having to share everything, etc and we will also have a challenge for you both to compete in either physical or mental to see who the better twin is. We would also like to get a few sequences of you together like on a photo shoot or on a night out. We want the doc to be quite fun and not to serious. We wouldn’t be able to pay you but it would be online and we could give you a copy for your portfolio/show reel. Oh and we would be looking to film in Sept/Oct time if you’re interested and would be available then.

Finding Some Twins

Obviously one of the most important parts of our twin documentary is finding interesting talkative twins to interview. We will look everywhere possible to find the best twins we can to appear in our documentary. We will place an audition on StarNow to see if we get any response from twins that way.

Hopefully we might be able to get some slightly famous twins who will have a following and will therefore want to be in our documentary to try and get their name out there more and show a different side of them.
