School Twin Research
Today I spoke to my mum, who is head of special education at a primary school, about her schools policy on twins when twins join a school. She said that what is usually done is a meeting is set up with the parents to discuss what will be best for that specific set of twins.
She has also said, that was interesting,if twins are put togeather in the same class it usually hinders there social development not learning. This is because Bedonwell Junior School found that there is usually a dominent twin who will speak out and answer for the less dominent twin therefore hindering twin number twos social learning. They have found no differenec in educational development when considering splitting up twins or keeping them togeather.
